Reading Log #1/ Goth Girl and the Fete Worse Than Death This story began when Ada Goth's father wouldn't talk to her or listen to her either, but soon Ada's father had a change of hearts and soon began to talk to her and listen to her as well. That was in book 1, now Ada starts to notice weird things happening in Ghastly Castle right before the Great Ghastly-Gorm Bake Off. Ada and her friends set off in search of the weird things in the castle, but only to find even more confusing obstacles in front of them. Ada Goth is a 10 year old girl who is always looking for a mystery to solve and an adventure to experience. "She wanted to tell the Attic Club about the strange visitors and strange behavior happening in Ghastly Castle" found in page 154. " She couldn't shake off the feeling that something wasn't right in the castle and she had no friends to talk about it" the author states in page 180. At the end of the story Ada Goth found out that the strange people that were coming into the castle were secret agents making sure that the Great Ghastly- Gorm Bake Off was under no harm whatsoever. Her friends were on it because they felt that they had to do something to help make sure there was no harm for anyone. Ada Goth understood this circumstance and forgave her friends.
Reading Log #2/ The Wizard's Wand This story was about how a knight travels to the kingdom of Fantasy. He is in search for three magical objects in order to safe the kingdom. "...I will journey across the land in order to find the magical objects so that the Kingdom of Fantasy can be safe again". stated on page 8. " If someone posses all three objects -The Book of a Thousand Spells, the Crystal Sphere, and the Wizard's Wand- we're in Big Trouble" Blue Rider said. Found on page 37. The brave set off to find the three magical objects but to only find dangerous obstacles ahead. The brave knight had a lot of ups and downs and his most fear on this quest was that he would return home empty handed. Everyone on the Land of Fantasy depended on him, but he himself felt unsure and sacred about what laid ahead of him. On his quest he had two friends, but they were very chatty and distracting. He couldn't concentrate throughout the quest . Towards the end of the story the knight faced a mighty dragon and an ugly troll. He defeated them and got the magical objects . He fought like a true knight and made everyone in the land of fantasy happy. He had safe the kingdom of Fantasy once more
Reading Log #3/ Black Beauty The story Black Beauty was about a horse who was born on a farm. The horse is sold to one person then moves on to the next person.." When I look back, my first memories are of a large rolling meadow with a small pond" coming from Black Beauty's point of view found on page 9. Black Beauty' story is coming from her point of view where she shows her emotions, feelings, and thoughts. Black Beauty's life shows that horses have feelings too and sometimes even know things people dont. " At this fair I found myself in with all the old broken-down horses. Some were lame, some broken-winded, some old,and some that I am sure it would have been merciful to shoot." Black Beauty sees found on page 223. Black Beauty has always begin sold to different sellers that she can never call anyplace home. She has seen families played around with the children but always felt that she was missing something. " My troubles are all over, and I am finally at home." found on page 250. This quote is said towards the end of the story when she is reunited with her former owner. She was so happy that she felt that she has really found her true home,.
